Customer Service Representative

 
Primary Responsibility: 
 
To passionately serve and create satisfied customers who will retain Direct Healthcare Supply for future healthcare product purchases. 
Key duties and responsibilities 
·      Reception of all incoming telephone calls.
·      Treat both new and existing customers like a family member.
·      Set- up new customer accounts for medical products service.
·      Outbound telephone calls to obtain refill permission.
·      Data entry of all refill orders for existing customers.
·      Be knowledgeable of healthcare products, Medicare law and various types of insurance coverage that provide answers to consumer frequently asked questions.
·      Deliver what you promise. 
Other functions  
·      Update customer files as required.
·      Update customer Certificates of Medical Necessity when needed.
·      Follow through with the billing department for shipment approval.
·      Filing
 Additional 
Other duties as assigned by the Customer Service Manager and Vice-President of Operations. 
Key requirements
·      Qualified candidates must have excellent verbal and computer skills with the desire to communicate with customers and prospects on a daily basis.
·      Word processing skill of 45 WPM at minimum.
·      Detail oriented.
·      Medical experience helpful but not necessary.
·      Ability to be on the telephone up to 75% of the workday.
·      Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a consumer service organization or healthcare environment.
·      Light lifting of up to 25 pounds.
 
This is a full-time entry-level non-exempt position. Work schedule is Monday through Friday. Hours of operation are 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
