Hospitality Staff
The Hospitality Staff position is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day front-line activity. Hospitality Staff are responsible for providing a superior level of hospitality skills to meet the expectations of Stan Hywet’s guests. Primary duties include: greeting guests, directing guests where they need to go, driving the tram, and assisting with groups and events.
Admissions Staff
The Admissions Staff is responsible for providing a superior level of hospitality skills to meet the expectations of Stan Hywet’s guests. Primary duties include: ability to sell and assist guests with an extensive knowledge of Stan Hywet’s daily tours, public programs, and membership opportunities, conducting error-free monetary sales transactions manually and through the Point-of-Sale system including daily balancing, overseeing all visitor activity within the Admissions area and coordinating tours with the Manor House staff.
Support and Events Staff
The Event Staff is responsible for assisting in the operational activity of Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens’ rentals and events. Primary duties include: the ability to assist with all operations of rentals, special events, and meetings, ability to assist guests with knowledge of Stan Hywet’s services and events, ability to set-up and tear-down a room as requested, greet and transport guests, guard cross walks and parking lot activity as needed, drive trams and assist rental parties, photographers, and caterers as necessary.
Manor House Interpreter Staff
The Manor House Interpreter Staff is responsible for conducting guided tours of the Manor House, Gardens, Gate Lodge, and also acting as Security. Primary duties include: maintaining a professional and helpful attitude when working with guests, volunteers and fellow employees, maintaining a safe, enjoyable and helpful atmosphere for visitors to Stan Hywet, greeting visitors and maintaining a courteous and helpful attitude in dealing with the visiting public and their requirements within Stan Hywet’s regulations and mission statement and the ability to conduct guided tours of the Manor House, Gardens, and Gate Lodge.
Café Staff
The café staff is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Café. Primary duties include: Maintaining a professional attitude and demonstrating a superior level of hospitality skills when working with the public, volunteer staff, and fellow employees, maintaining the highest level of quality and professionalism in the Café, having basic knowledge of Stan Hywet’s tours, rentals, public programs, and membership opportunities, preparing menu items as required while following all food safety requirements, operating the point of sale system, conducting sales transactions, opening, closing, and overseeing all visitor activity in the Café on a daily basis.
