Career Opportunity: Technical Product Manager
The Technical Product Manager will manage and execute the functional activities and responsibilities associated with the technical development of Shearers successful food products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Manage, plan and execute the steps and stages of Shearers product lifecycles. Accurately set up and launch new products. Manage active product changes. Manage product end of life obsolescence including developing discontinued film, plate and box liquidation plans.
Act as key facilitator and enabler for communication between marketing and manufacturing teams.
Manage technical packaging and display solutions engineering and development including film, cases, cartons, retail-ready displays, etc. Work with Shearers technical processing team to execute production.
Contribute to the development, management and tracking of products technical specifications including key quality assurance components of allergens, nutritional information, code dating and more.
Build a comprehensive knowledge and expertise of all production lines and the processes necessary to bring new products to life. Support the creation of new product bases and seasonings.
Provide technical product support to sales team.
Consult with management and review assigned product project proposals to determine goals, time frames, funding, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of resources.
Collaborate and partner with external suppliers to source resources, solve challenges and contribute to Shearers commitment to ongoing product improvement.
Identify and execute ways to realize Shearers objectives to standardize and rationalize skus and processes.
Travel as needed to support sales, marketing or product development needs.
Embrace other assignments as needed and required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES: Posses the ability to manage both internal and external customers and to adapt and manage through change.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: B.S degree in relevant coursework and at lease 3 years of experience in marketing or product management related field. Experience in the food industry is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Strong written and verbal skills are required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Good math and quantitative skills are essential.
REASONING ABILITY: Have and use good common sense.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: A Valid drivers license is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. This position can involve some moderate lifting of boxes and displays. Moving and standing for moderate to extended periods of time while working in sometimes loud and non-climate control facilities will be necessary to accomplish job objectives.
